Eligibility: Open to all U.S. public schools (K-12) and U.S. public school districts. The Sprint Ahead for Education grant program will accept applications for Character Education programs that promote youth leadership, youth volunteerism, school pride and a positive school culture.
Purpose: The purpose of these grants is to fund the purchase of resource materials, supplies, equipment and software that facilitates and encourages character education among K-12 students.
Deadline: April 15, 2008
Applications will be accepted electronically only from March 3 to midnight, April 15, 2008.
Maximum Award: $5,000-$25,000
District level grants are available for programs ranging from $10,000 to $25,000.
School level grants are available for programs ranging from $500-$5,000.
Number of Awards: Multiple
Period: 2008-2009 school year
