Woodcrest Elementary School integrates performance character and moral character with the Woodcrest family, developing excellence and ethics in tandem. Woodcrest Elementary School strives to become an Ethical Learning Community that is Smart (demonstrates performance character) and Good (demonstrates moral character). Their character education mission statement blends the Cherry Hill School District’s life skills standards (respect, responsibility, and American citizenship), the six pillars of character education, and the “Smart and Good” research of Lickona and Davidson. It is the ultimate goal at Woodcrest to immerse the students in a school culture that establishes lifelong citizens of character.
“Thoughts become Words, Words become Actions, Actions become Character, and Character is EVERYTHING!”
