Commitment to character education is reflected in every aspect of the environment
at Veterans Memorial Elementary School. As its basis for character education, the
students, staff, and parents of VMES have agreed upon the six pillars of character as defined in the Character Counts Program:  Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship (TRRFCC).  The ultimate goal is that students will become caring, respectful, responsible citizens within our schools, homes and community.  Parental involvement and community support are viewed as essential elements in achieving these goals
