DESCRIPTION OF PUBLICATIONS:
| The following are the materials of the Positive Action program: 1) A scoped and sequenced K-12 Instruction Curriculum with and Instructor’s Kit for each grade level that contains: an instructor’s lesson manual with 15-minute lessons, posters, music, stickers, and student activity booklets and manipulatives for 30 students; 2) Elementary and Secondary Climate Development Kits for positive learning climate development. These kits include items and activities to encourage and reinforce the practice of positive actions site-wide; 3) Drug Education Supplement Instructor’s Kits for Grade 5 and Middle School. Lessons integrate into the regular Positive Action curriculum to target issues of drug, alcohol, and tobacco use, or can stand alone; 4) A Counselor’s Kit that can be used by counselors, therapists, and others for education, counseling, and therapy; 5) Conflict Resolution Kit with Conflict Resolution Plans and a manual with seven lessons to teach and practice positive solutions to conflicts; 6) A Family Kit for parents that includes a lesson manual and materials for use in the home; 7) A Family Classes Instructor’s Manual for facilitators of parenting classes and other places the Family Kit is used; 8) A Community Kit that contains a manual and materials to help the community plan events and activities to promote positive actions community-wide; 9) Orientation, Ongoing, and Media Training Kits for self-training assist users in implementing, continuing, and publicizing their Positive Action program; 10) Spanish versions are available for Grades K-3, 7, 8, Middle School Drug Education Supplement, Conflict Resolution Kit, and Family Kit. |
