The multimedia curriculum enhances the following pro-social student behaviors: self-awareness, self-respect, emotional understanding, social competence, self-control, empathy, problem solving, anger management, respect for individual differences, healthy living choices, resiliency, refusal skills, and personal safety. The Program is designed for children in kindergarten through third grade. It contains a comprehensive Instructor's Manual containing 16 detailed lesson plans, evaluation forms for children, teachers, and parents, parent handouts, 3 books, 45 reproducible student worksheets with directions, 7 videos or DVDs with Leader's Guide, 3 CD-ROMS, 4 posters, a hand puppet, a CD of Fun, Character Building Songs, paw stamp and 100 stickers. In addition, there is a Kelly Bear Drug Awareness Prevention Program that is an eight session wellness program for children. Another resource is a Violence Prevention Video Program that includes three videos or DVDs on Bullying, Resolving Disputes, and Self-Control plus a Leader’s Guide, evaluation forms and children’s enrichment activities. Thirty teachers from four states reported a 45% decrease in discipline interventions as a result from using the Violence Prevention Video Program.
